Energy Medicine

The ancient Vedic philosophy of India 4000 – 5000 years ago identified this energy as “prana.”  The ancient Chinese called it “Chi” or “Qi” and developed acupuncture along the energy meridian lines. Western culture calls it “life-force,” a subtle energy system that is increasingly found to affect, and be affected by, our physical wellbeing, emotions, level of spirituality, nutritional and environmental factors.  It is a holistic healing philosophy that aims to treat the whole person including the mind, body and spirit, and sees any health issue as a breakdown of the vibrational energy interplay between these elements. The work of the energy medicine practitioner is to bring the energetic vibrations of the life force back to its normal state, and to influence these subtle energy patterns to help the body to heal itself.  The entire modality of energy medicine is based on the theory that dis-ease usually stems from a disfunction in the life force system that ultimately manifests itself as a physical health condition.

There are many different energy medicine modalities such Qigong, Reiki, Quantum Touch, Touch for Health, Acupuncture, Acupressure, Chakra Clearing, Reflexology. Magnet Therapy, Chromotherapy and Aromatherapy.

Donna Eden Energy Medicine utilizes techniques from time-honored traditions such as acupuncture, yoga, kinesiology, and qi gong. Flow, balance, and harmony can be  non-invasively restored and maintained within an energy system by tapping, massaging, pinching, twisting, or connecting specific energy points (acupoints) on the skin; by tracing or swirling the hand over the skin along specific energy pathways; through exercises or postures designed for specific energetic effects; by focused use of the mind to move specific energies; and/or by surrounding an area with healing energies.
