Vermont Salt Cave Spa & Halotherapy Center

Salt Cave Spa Therapy

Vermont Salt Cave Spa & Halotherapy Center is a contemporary, holistic wellness center built around a man-made salt cave composed entirely from 20,000 lbs of Polish rock salt. The air in the cave is saturated with minerals and negative ions, providing a relaxing, de-stressing spa treatment with the added bonus of entirely natural supplementation of micro-elements such as: Calcium, Iodine, Iron, Sodium, and Bromine and trace elements such as: Potassium, Magnesium, Copper, Selenium.

Only 10 minutes from Jay Peak Resort and 40 minutes from St. Albans, the Vermont Salt Cave Spa offers 45-minute salt therapy sessions for total relaxation.  Participants enjoy  the well documented health benefits of Salt Therapy, popular in Europe since the first salt cave spa opened in Poland in 1838.

The cave-like interior of our salt chamber, or grotto, is essentially a cave micro-climate and was created keeping it as natural as possible to ensure maximum health benefits. The halotherapy machine is imported from Poland, the home of modern salt therapy, where it is rated as a medical machine.  The halogenerator takes pharmaceutical-grade sodium chloride and crushes it into miniscule particles between 1 and 5 microns, which are released into the air in specific, controlled quantities for dry salt therapy. These small particles of salt are negatively ionized and bear very high kinetic energy.  One can think of dry salt aerosol therapy like a toothbrush that works towards cleansing human airways, removing pathogen agents like airborne pollen and speeding up mucocilliary transport.

The Salt Cave sessions are held every hour on the hour starting at 10 am until 5 pm from Friday to Monday.  On Thursdays, the 1st session starts at noon. We are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
