Few people realize that for the time it takes to boil water and then to steep a tea bag, you are able to enter a new world of taste and knowledge as you explore the world of herbal teas. Far more than just "English Breakfast" or "Earl Grey", these herbs, roots, leaves and flowers have over centuries played a vital role in health and wellness. For literally thousands of years, people have resorted to teas to address ailments plus many are truly delicious and serve to provide healthy beverages for all ages.
At the Vermont Salt Cave we currently carry 67 different teas which are all certified organic, non-GMO and packaged in convenient tea bags that of course are non-bleached. Whether you are looking for a tea such as Gotu Kola which according to webmd.com is "for fatigue, anxiety, depression, psychiatric disorders, Alzheimer's disease, and improving memory and intelligence," or teas such as Astragalus and Cat's Claw which was highlighted in the recent Sacred Remedies Documentary for Lyme Disease, we stock them.
Over the next few months we are going to try and highlight the traditional benefits of these herbs, perhaps form a sort of Tea Club if there is interest. More to follow.....so stay tuned.
